Rapture Prophecies

The creation days were 6 with one day of rest, Gen 1. The time started then with the sun, moon, and stars. It is written that a day to God is as 1000 years, and a thousand years as 1 day, 2 Pet 3:8-9  Ps 90:4.

The 7 days became the model for the time of man, for his rule is 6000 years as he was created on the 6th day; then comes the 1000 year reign of Jesus or the millennium, the 7th day of rest for the earth and man, Gn 1-2  Rev 20:1-6.

There were 2000 years from Adam

 to Abraham.

Then 2000 years from Abraham to the Messiah, Jesus.

2000 years of Grace from Jesus until the Day of the Lord (Rapture, tribulation, Armageddon, and the 1000 year millennium). These estimates were the same for the Pharisee and Essene calendars.

Hosea 6:2 says after 2 days He will revive us.

Calendars

Enoch measured the same time frame in ten 700 year periods.

The Essenes measured the time as solar with 52 weeks or 364 days which included the Spring equinox, the Summer solstice, the Fall equinox, and the Winter solstice. With their calendar, the Holy Days were always on the same day of the week and day of the calendar. The Spring equinox was the first day of the year or Nissan 1 the closest Wednesday. They had a round calendar that worked like a sundial with a post that showed all the information of the year with its shadow on the calendar wheel.

The Essenes were the original scribes and descended from the Aaronic Zadok Priests. When the Pharisees and Sadducees were at war with each other about 200 BC, the Essenes left and went to Qumran by the Dead Sea and took the writings with them and buried them in jars in caves. They were angry about the lunar calendar change and the interpretation of the Messiah scriptures. They believed very close to Christians about the Messiah or Jesus; His arrival, atonement and resurrection, Rapture, 2nd Coming and 1000 year rule of the earth. We know about them from the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS).

The Pharisees changed the calendar to a lunar one that required a leap month (Adar II) about every 3 years to line up with the sun and seasons. They used a 360 day year by the moon, which They use a 2 witness observation of the new moon, or twelve 30 day months. Nissan 1 for the new year (Feast of Trumpets or Rosh ha Shanna) was based on this observation and so for this is the only Festival where they would say “no one knows the day or the hour” because the new moon could be on a possible 2 day period. The Pharisees believed that Messiah would come as a powerful General that would defeat Rome and restore Israel.

Most all of the world uses the Gregorian calendar that was developed by Pope Gregory in the 1500’s. It is 365 ¼ day year with a leap day added every 4 years on February 29 to keep in line with the sun. BC is before Christ, and Anno Domini is Latin for Year of our Lord (AD). It is a revision and similar to the Roman calendar.

Israel added 2 more Feasts: Purim when Esther saved Israel from Haman the Agagite.

Hanukkah when fighting during the Maccabean revolt second century BC and one day of oil lasted 8 days in the Temple Menorah; also called the Feast of Lights. The Menorah here has 9 candles or lamps,

where the regular Menorah has 7 lamps.

Rapture Season

Jesus was crucified in 32 AD at 33 ½ years of age. This put the 2000 years of Grace for His return on 2032. That would be on the Feast of Atonement as He would be the Judge after Armageddon. That will be Sept 14-15. Subtracting 7 years for the Tribulation and it would be 2025 for the Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets. That will be Monday Sept 22nd to Wed the 24th.  However, the Essene calendar has the Feast of Trumpets on Sept 17, 2025.

Several scriptures of Jesus state that “no man knows the day or the hour”, this has to concern the Rapture, because the 2nd coming is listed by the exact days in Rev 11:3, and Dan 9. However, no man knows the day or hour is a Jewish idiom for the Feast of Trumpets, because it has to be seen by 2 witnesses for the new moon which can be within a period of 2-3 days.

I am not trying to put a date on Jesus' return. You can see with the calendars and the observation that is hard. But, we are to know the season, and the numbers here seem to fit.

Paul tells us by the Holy Ghost that we are not in darkness and should not be surprised at Jesus’ coming for us that live in the light, 1 Thess 5:1-10.

According to Jewish writings, the ram that was caught in the thicket at Isaac’s sacrifice two horns were the shofars that were used in important Feasts of the LORD.

The left horn/shofar was blown when Moses presented the stone cubes with the Commandments written by the finger of God. God spoke the 10 Commandments. This scared the people so much that they begged Moses to never let God speak to the directly again, but go through Moses and then to the people.

The right horn well be blown at the coming of Messiah. For the Jews this would be the 2nd Coming as they did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah 2000 years ago. But, for the Christian it will be the “last Trump” as is mentioned by Paul at the Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets.

Of course the last trump will be blown by an Angel of the LORD.

By the way the thorn bush the ram’s head was in symbolized the Crown of Thorns on Jesus as He is the Ram (Aries)

1 Thess 4:13 ¶  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

For those alive that witness this wonderful event, they will be changed without death to an immortal.

1 Cor 15:51 ¶  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Jn 11 we see Jesus talking to Martha when He arrived after Lazarus, her brother, had been dead 4 days.

Jn 11:23  Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

24  Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

25  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

He then brought Lazarus back to life and made his sisters, Martha and Mary very happy.

This statement is a description by Jesus of the day of the Rapture in the future as Paul wrote about later.

In Rv 19-20 we see Jesus’ 2nd coming. You see those who were beheaded during the Tribulation being raised from the dead. You do not see living changed as in Paul’s writings and Jesus words to Martha. Also at the end of the millennium when the fire of God rains down and devours those attacking Jesus all of them die and are judged at the Great White Throne along with all who have died without salvation. There is no mention of the living changed without death, yet we know that there will be living on the earth, because they have to come to the New Jerusalem before the LORD on Festivals and can eat of the tree of life and take home leaves for their healing when they get hurt, for there is no sickness there. These people are mortal and can only live forever by eating from the Trees of Life. Immortals can probably eat from it if they want, but they are immortal and not necessary. This whole idea is so people can populate the universe. God cannot get enough people, it is continuous.  Immortals will have a body like unto Jesus in Phil 3:21, and are like the angels, who do not reproduce, Mt 22:30  Mk 12:25.

There have been 2 people raptured in the Bible, Enoch the 7th from Adam in Gn, and Elijah the Prophet in Kings.

Many believe in the pre-trib Rapture. So did the Church Fathers and the Essenes. There could be another Rapture at mid-trib with the 144000 that are “redeemed from the earth”, possibly with their converts, Rev 14:3. I say possibly because the job of these Jewish men is evangelists, and I am sure they reach a lot of people. There are many with white robes after the 144000 are picked in Rev 7 that come out of the Great Tribulation it does not specifically say that they were killed. Paul tells us that “all Israel will be saved” and this great revival will be in the Tribulation where they will realize that Jesus is their Messiah and they “mourn for the one they pierced”. The Tribulation is a time of God’s wrath ie: days of awe, Jacobs Trouble, and Daniel’s missing week are all the same period. God does not appoint wrath to His Church, which are His children,1 Thess 5:9.

84 years

When Jacob went to Haran to stay with his Uncle Laban, he was 77 years old. (interesting that that is the generations mentioned in Luke from Jesus to Adam). Well he worked for 7 Years for Rachel and Laban snuck Leah in the wedding chamber. But Jacob agreed to work another 7 years for Rachel. When this was agreed, Jacob (who was later named Israel by the LORD) was 84 years old, Gn 29.

Anna (Grace) came to see the baby Jesus and pronounced to all that Jesus was the redemption. She was 84 in Lk 20:37.

Before her, Simeon (Law) came and pronounced Jesus as the Salvation, a light to the gentiles and the glory of Israel. This was a symbol of the law of the Old Covenant passing to the Grace of the New Covenant.

If the Rapture takes place in Sept of 25, and the Tribulation ends in 2032 with Armageddon, that will be 84 years from Israel becoming a Nation 2032 minus 1948 is 84. Paul tells us that all Israel shall be saved, and that will be in the Tribulation. Jacob getting his first love, or God getting once again, Israel.

Temple and Red Heifer

We can deduce from Rev that there will have to be a Temple built in Jerusalem in order for the anti-Christ to defile it. The Temple Institute has prepared all the Levite Priests to perform sacrifices. They also have all of the implements made as well as the Temple furniture. They say they don’t have the Ark of the Covenant, but they know where it is. The big problem is the Muslim shrines on the Temple Mount.

5 Red Heifers have been specially bred and brought to Jerusalem at great cost. They have to be perfect, Nu 19.

The ashes from a sacrificed Red Heifer are the only way to purify the area and Temple build according to the law. July 1, 2025 there was a rehearsal sacrifice of a not perfect Red Heifer at Shiloh (2 black hairs were found). When the Priests were going to make the sacrifice for real in 2024, Hamas attacked Israel on 10-7-23. Israel is still at war with Hamas in Gaza. There have been 9 Red Heifer sacrifices in Israel history. The 10th sacrifice is to bring the Messiah. If this was a cover for the real sacrifice, it would change things, for the sacrifice would be already made.

Israel now is a “stumbling stone” for the world. This is because Jesus the Messiah came and was crucified there and He is the stone the builders rejected which is the corner (foundation) stone for the Church. Many prophecies have been fulfilled to the day since Israel became a Nation in 1948. Israel is fighting a 7 front war at present and the Iran and Gaza war are both prophesied.

The Rapture is a mystery and a secret and is mentioned in the Bible as Harpazo in the Greek which means to snatch away upward. In Latin it is Rapere

Resurrection

Jesus was the first born of the dead into an immortal divine body. We Christians are promised the same, Phil 3:21.

The first group to actually be resurrected was the righteous of Israel. Jesus preached to them in the upper part of Hades when His body was in the tomb for 3 days. Jesus told the thief on the cross to His right, “Today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Eph 4:4  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5  One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

7  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8  Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9  (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10  He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

1 Pet 3:18 ¶  For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

19  By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20  Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Mt 27:52  And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53  And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

The next resurrection will be after Armageddon for those beheaded in the Tribulation, Rev 20:4.

The next will be at the end of the Millennium at the Great White Throne Judgment for all who have not been born again in Jesus, Rev 20:9-15.

The Christian judgment will be at the time of death or at the resurrection, or transformation at the Rapture. The wonderful thing is that sin is not in the equation, because of Jesus’ Blood and forgiveness. A question will come, what did you do with your Salvation? Was it gold, silver, or precious stones or wood, hay, or stubble? It is a time of refining and reward. All will qualify for heaven entry; some with crowns.

1 Cor 3: 10  According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 ¶  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12  Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13  Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

I pray that you are or will be in God's family. Jesus is the only way there. If you do not know Him today, ask Jesus to save you and come into your heart. Then follow His guidance.

A Evil Spirit from the LORD?

I watched a special on Prime about the house of David. In that I saw that Israel’s first King, Saul had disobeyed God and the LORD sent an evil spirit to torment him. So I dug into the Word to see what God has to say about this type of matter. I felt that when Saul disobeyed the LORD that he had allowed the evil spirit to come upon him.

I have always thought of God as good, and could He possibly send an evil spirit to do His will? As we study this subject, we will learn some powerful and insightful things from the scriptures.

God is good, always. James 1: 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

2 Tim 4:16  (Paul) At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. 17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

God delivers us from evil, that is the way Jesus taught us to pray.

Jesus said when we pray to say...lead us, not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.., in the Lord’s prayer. Yet, we see in scripture some instances where the King of the Universe directs evil spirits for His purpose.

Keep in mind the following is mostly under the Old Covenant  In the New Covenant of Grace we have the Name of Jesus, Armor of God, and guidance from the Holy Spirit.

Also know that the LORD is the creator of all things. Gn 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Isa 45: 5 ¶ I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

In Job, the oldest book of the Bible, we see that all of the problems that came upon Job were considered by his friends as sent from God because Job did some kind of sin. In those ancient times, men felt that everything came from God, good or bad. If Job could have read the book given his name, he would have seen that it was Satan who was his oppressor. God only revealed to Satan that Job had broken down his hedge of protection. After showing this to the devil, God put limits on what Satan could do to Job, who did not sin. He had sacrificed regular for his children as “they may have sinned and cursed God in their hearts”, Job 1:5. This was done in fear and not faith, for Job did not know that any of his children had done anything wrong.

As in the case with Job, he broke down his hedge of protection by sacrificing for his children because they might have cursed God. God did not tell the devil to go after him, but He did tell the devil that Job’s hedge was broken because the devil had said there was a hedge about Job and he could not get to him, Job 1:10.

Eccl 10: 8 He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

The hedge is a protection around God’s people by Angels. This also is the shield of faith, Eph 6 armor, and surrounds you as well, Ps 5:12  For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Ps:91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep you in all your ways.

Judgment from God

The destroyer who killed the first born of all Egypt at the first Passover in Ex 12, which may be the same evil spirit that will wreak havoc during the tribulation, called Abaddon, Rv 9:11.

Judges 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech: 24 That the cruelty done to the threescore and ten sons of Jerubbaal might come, and their blood be laid upon Abimelech their brother, which slew them; and upon the men of Shechem, which aided him in the killing of his brethren. 25 And the men of Shechem set liers in wait for him in the top of the mountains, and they robbed all that came along that way by them: and it was told Abimelech.

Finally Shechem was destroyed and the remnant were burned in the house of the false god Berith where they had taken refuge.

Saul Becomes King

1 Sam 10:1 Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?

1 Sam 10:6  And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

7  And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.

8  And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.

9 ¶  And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

10  And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

11  And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?

12  And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?

This was not Salvation as we know it in the New Covenant, but an anointing of God for Israel’s first King. Even though he was a changed man and given another heart and God’s Spirit was on him.

Saul’s Disobedience to God’s Command

1 Sam 13:2  Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

3  And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.

4  And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.

5  And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Bethaven.

6  When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait, (for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.

7  And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.

8 ¶  And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.

9  And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.

10  And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.

11  And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;

12  Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.

13  And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

14  But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

This was the first act of disobedience that Saul did, for Kings do not do sacrifice, yet Saul did anyway. Samuel then told Saul that God wanted him to enforce punishment on the Amalekites, God’s enemies. God commanded that they be utterly destroyed as well as their animals. They were very evil and had corrupted themselves and their animals at the genetic level; similar to the times of Noah where it was so bad, God destroyed them all with the great flood.

1 Sam15:15  And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.

16  Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.

17  And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

18  And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

19  Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?

20  And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

21  But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal.

22  And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

23  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Samuel took a sword and killed Agag, the Amalekite king. He then went at the LORD’s direction and anointed David to be King of Israel.

1 Samuel 16:14 ¶ But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

Saul did not know about David being anointed to be King. He heard that he played music and sent for the shepherd boy to come and play for him to comfort him.

1 Samuel 16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

1 Samuel 18:10 ¶ And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand.

1 Samuel 19:9 And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

Saul threw a javelin at David, two times, but David was the anointed of the LORD and was protected from Saul. Saul did not know that David was the one anointed by Samuel to be King, but you know that the evil spirit knew.

In reviewing Moses’ case, he had not circumcised his 2nd son, Eliezer. While going to talk to the Pharoah, God fought with him. Ex 4: 24 ¶ And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him. 25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. 26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.

God was not going to allow the leader of His people to be disobedient to the law. Zipporah saved his life by circumcising Eliezer. It seems that she was against circumcision after seeing Gershom, her first born son, circumcised. The Bible does not say that evil was involved here, but God himself came to set things right. I believe that this was a Christophany, similar to when the man wrestled with Jacob all night long, and Jacob said he had seen God face to face, Gn 32.

1 Ki 22 Jehoshaphat (good) and Ahab (bad) go to war with Syria. Ahab had asked Jehoshaphat to come help in the battle. Ahab inquires of 400 of the prophets of Baal and they all say to go up and conquer. Jehoshaphat asks for a Prophet of the LORD and there is one, Micaiah. Ahab complained that he never says anything good about me.

15 ¶ So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth–gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king. 16 And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD? 17 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace. 18 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil? 19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

Eccl 10: 2 A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.

Micaiah had seen the rebellious angels and good Angels before God in His throne room.

1 Ki 22:20 And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth–gilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. 21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. 22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. 24 But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee? 25 And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself. 26 And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son; 27 And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace. 28 And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.

29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth–gilead. 30 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle. 31 But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel. 32 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out. 33 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him. 34 And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded. 35 And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.

God had prophesied this by Elijah in 1 Ki 21:19-24, concerning Ahab and Jezebel’s death after they killed Naboth for his vineyard. Jezebel was thrown from a upper window and eaten by dogs.

God can and has used evil men to do His will

In Jer 25, God calls Nebuchadnezzar “His servant”. God used the King of Babylon to enforce His wrath on Judah for their disobedience and worshiping other gods. They had been warned by the prophets over and over again, but did not turn to the LORD God. Yet the King became so full of himself that he reckoned that his power was his own doing and not of God.

Nebuchadnezzar  Dn 4:28 ¶ All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. 29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. 30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

31 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. 32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. 34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: 35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? 36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. 37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

Pharoah at the time of Moses and the Exodus was contrary to Israel and God hardened the heart of Pharoah to demonstrate His love for Israel by the plagues brought upon Egypt. The last plague was the death of all the firstborn, which was the final straw that caused Pharoah to release Israel, their children, and their livestock.

Deep inside the heart of Pharoah was a hate that caused him to pursue Israel to the Red Sea and there perish with his armies. For God divided the sea at the Gulf of Aqaba at Nuweiba (modern names), and Israel escaped into Midian, but the Egyptians attempting to follow were drowned when the sea collapsed upon them.

Balaam the sorcerer was used by God to bless Israel 3 times, when he was hired by Balak of Moab to curse them in the book of Numbers.

One famous quote from Balaam under the influence of God’s Spirit; Numbers 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth (Moab). 18 And Edom shall be a possession, Seir (Edom mountains, from Dead Sea to Gulf of Aqaba) also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. 19 Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.

This obviously is a prophecy of the Messiah, our Lord Jesus out of the mouth of a man who was not a servant of God, but of the devil. Jesus said that He was the bright and morning star, Rev 22:16.

Jeroboam II -2 Kings 14:25 He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gath–hepher. 26 For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel. 27 And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

Jeroboam I was the son of Solomon’s servant and is the one who caused the division of Israel and Judah. Jeroboam II was evil too, but God used him to save Israel at this time.

The New Covenant

In the New Covenant, we have things different from that of the patriarchs and those who believed God and it was counted to them as righteousness, Gn 15:6. For we are born again children of the Father through Jesus Christ. This being done by Jesus' Passion where He took our sins on Himself and gave us His righteousness by sacrificing His Body and Blood.

The Spirit of Christ is in us for our Salvation, and the Holy Spirit is given to us as God’s children, to lead us and guide us in all truth. God will not take away these Spirits from us.

Jesus said in Jn 10: 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

In Jesus and with the power of His Name and the weapons He gave us we can be victorious over evil when attacks occur. Jesus said we would cast out demons, Mk 16:17.

With the Spirit of Jesus in us and the Spirit of God in us we are very powerful on this earth. We can be led away from evil and guided in all truth.

Chastening

God does chasten us, but from within the heart, and by the washing of the water by the Word.

Paul talks about the husband and wife being like Jesus and the Church.

Eph 5:21 ¶  Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

22  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

We Christians are the bride of Christ. God loves us as He loves Jesus. This is not because of your works, but because of your faith in what Jesus has done. Not that your faith will not produce good works, but not to earn anything. It is our faith and not works that justify us before God, Rom 3:28, Gal 3:24.

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Chastised by God is within your heart, not sickness, or injury. Remember you are God’s child in Christ Jesus.

Paul was also buffeted by a “messenger from Satan” after the LORD had shown him many revelations: 2 Cor 12: 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

I am led to believe that Paul had not yet received the revelation of the “Armor of God” at this time as Corinthians was written before Ephesians. Paul had studied the Torah and writings his whole life, now after meeting Jesus, the Holy Ghost taught Paul in the wilderness of Arabia and Damascus for 3 years that all the scriptures he knew spoke about Jesus.  But, the Grace of God is sufficient for everything. With God’s Grace through Jesus, plus the Armor of God, and the Angels surrounding us, we can be victorious in Satan’s attacks.

Some have taught that sickness or accidents that maim are punishments from God. This is not true, for a loving Father would not put sickness on His Child, or break bones for a lesson. God convicts the heart and guides you repentance and washes you by the Word. 1 John says that all sin, but confessing it to God brings forgiveness.

1 Jn 1: 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

If one rebels against God and seeks after that which defiles His law, God’s hand of protection can be lifted, and Satan can attack you. Paul warns Timothy of this:

2 Tim 2: 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. 22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Satan will tempt you, but by your actions and words, for the Bible tells us to resist the devil and he will flee from you, Ja 4:7 Also that with the temptation, God will give you a way out, 1 Cor 10:13.

God watches over His own and always has.

Ps 34: 7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Ps 91: 9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver (rescue) him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

The traits of the Spirits God have always been taught by His faithful remnant: compassion, righteousness, mercy, love, understanding, justice, and vengeance.

God in His infinite wisdom wrote His Gospel in the stars. The Bible Zodiac is called the Mazzaroth. In the heavens we see Pisces, the two fish that represent the Church of the Old and New Covenants that will become one Church. These Churches are attached by the Bands to Cetus who represents the devil who is the god of this world; he did not earn this but got it from Adam by deception. However, Aries the ram that represents Jesus, has his leg across the bands between Cetus and Pisces. This signifies that the Church is protected from Satan for those who follow Christ, and that every thing that comes from Satan to the Church has to pass through Jesus’ hand. I know this is deep, but none the less, the truth.

Aquarius in the heavens is a picture of Jesus pouring out the Holy Ghost from the Father on His Church, which is represented by Piscis Austrinus (Southern Fish) in the sky.

The Holy Ghost is a gift to God’s children. He is not given to the world. The Spirit of Jesus Christ is given to the world; to those who will repent and seek Him. After the new child of God becomes aware of the presence of Jesus in them, they can ask the Father and He will give them the Holy Ghost. With the Holy Ghost and the Spirit of Jesus in you, your understanding of spiritual things becomes clear and the direction of God is much easier to discern.

Jesus’ Spirit - the eternal Salvation

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

John 3:11  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12  If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Jesus was sent to the world as a man. Even though His Spirit is Holy, it was the Spirit of a man that has a body and soul. Jesus did not enter His ministry until God anointed Him at His baptism by John with the Holy Spirit. Jesus was perfect and needed not Salvation, for He was Salvation. Yet He needed the Holy Spirit to have the Divine Power that the Holy Spirit provides.

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Jesus said here “heavenly Father” so that those who would ask were saved, or had Jesus’ Spirit in them.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

This is when the Apostles received the Spirit of Jesus (which is Holy) and were saved. Yet Jesus told them to wait in Jerusalem until they were Baptized in the Holy Spirit, Acts 1. In Acts 2 on Pentecost the Holy Spirit came on them and they were baptized in the Holy Ghost as was prophesied by John the Baptist.

Baptism of the Holy Ghost

The Bible is clear; Salvation, and baptism in the Holy Ghost are not the same thing. Salvation is having the (Holy) Spirit of Christ enter into your spirit, being baptized in the Holy Ghost is having the Spirit of the Father come into you as well. After this your Spiritual eyes will be open and the Power of God will operate from within you, Acts 2.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Power here is the Greek where we get dynamo and dynamite, so it is strong power from God.

Acts 2:1  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The manifestation of the Holy Spirit can now operate through you as Paul teaches. For, now you have the Spirit of Christ in you for Salvation, and the Holy Spirit of God in you for guidance and power. As long as you listen, and act on what you hear and what is revealed to you, evil can not approach you.

1 Cor 12:1 ¶  Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2  Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3  Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

4  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

These “gifts” are things like music, art, wisdom, etc.

5  And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

These are the 5 fold divisions in the Church: Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists, and Teachers,  Eph 4:11.

6  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

These are the operations of the Church, which are and should be supernatural.

7  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9  To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10  To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11  But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

These are commonly referred to as the “gifts of the Spirit”, but they are manifestations of the Holy Spirit as He wills. In other words they work through you, not by you.

I was raised in a Baptist Church, which do not teach the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, as most mainstream denominations do the same. But, the Bible is clear on this matter and in my experience, it seems that only the Pentecostals teach it. Once again this is the truth of the Word.

There are 9 “gifts” or manifestation of the Holy Ghost mentioned here in 1 Cor 12. There are also 9 fruits of the Spirit mentioned in Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

The Holy Spirit inside of Christians is what restrains the anti-Christ from coming into power. When Jesus comes for His Church at the Rapture, the way will be open for the anti-Christ to become the global dictator, 2 Thess 2:7 , 1 Thess 4:14-18.

In closing let me answer the question of this study; yes, God can send an evil spirit to do His will as we have seen in scripture. He is the King and Creator of all, and all must obey Him in the unseen world; and ultimately it will be so in the physical world.

If you do not know Jesus as your Lord, now is the time. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and is the only way to the Father.  Repent from things that hurt man, God, or yourself and then ask forgiveness and accept the Savior who came and died that you might live. Jesus rose from the dead and is the eternal King, Priest, and Prophet who is an immortal Man and of the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
