The Seraphim of God - Scorpio=Eagle

Our study this series is about the Seraphim that surround God and the Biblical and physical evidence of how they glorify Jesus our Lord.

We know by implication that the Angels of God were created before man. Lucifer who was one of God’s trusted Cherubs had already rebelled and was an enemy of God when Adam was in the Garden of Eden. Again, we can deduce that the 4 Seraphim that are with God always, were probably His first creation. Isaiah, Ezekiel, and John have all written about seeing these magnificent creatures which we will discuss later in this lesson.

Gn 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.

We know that this is the first appearance of everything we know and can see. God has always existed, and made our universe for His pleasure.

Yet in the 2 verses that follow we see that:
2  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 ¶  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Truly great scholars and Rabbis have studied these verses since they were penned by Moses 1441 BC as he was instructed by God. In the 6 days that follow, all the earth we know was made ready for man to live there. This included the creation of plants and animals and the appearance of dry land for them to live on as well as the many ocean dwellers.

Other scriptures tell us that God made the earth to be inhabited and that all of the host of heaven shouted for joy when it was created. So there is some time between vs 1 and 2 when the earth was somehow formless, void, and flooded.  We won’t go into that here, but there are several scriptures where God talks to His prophets and  about this.
God in vs 1 is Elohiym, which is plural in Hebrew. Vs 2 tells us that the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. So the earth was covered with water. Vs 3 God speaks, and we know that Jesus is the Word of God.

Jn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
So in the first 3 verses we see the Trinity at work. And Jesus is the one who made it all;
1 ¶  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

What we do not see in these first chapters of Genesis is the creation of the Angels. Yet we know they are there, for when Adam and Eve are expelled for their sin after listening to the serpent (possessed by Satan) a Cherub guards the way to the tree of life.

Now I am a creationist. I do not accept evolution as Darwin incorporated into our culture. There was a time before Adam when the Angels were created, and the rebellion took place. When Jesus talks about the foundation of the world, He is referring to the 6 days of creation. When He says Satan was a murderer from the beginning , He is talking prior to the 6 days.

14 ¶  And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15  And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16  And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17  And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18  And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19  And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

So here we see that time was made for us. It is based on the earth’s rotation or spin being a 24 hour day, 12 hour night, 12 hour day; then the moon’s rotation around the earth of about 29.5 days and the earth’s rotation around the sun of about 365 days. Israel’s calendar was given to them by God, and is lunar, which is about a 30 day month or 360 day year. Then a month has to be added every so often, called Adar, to bring the lunar calendar up with the solar seasons. Adjustments need to be made to make all things coincide as each of the rotations are separate.
Our Lord Jesus so effected our modern Grigorian calendar based on a solar cycle of 365.25 days per year, that the years are dated from His time. It is the year of our Lord or AD (anno Domini). So when unbelievers question you as a Christian, show them the date on a coin.

Our Lord also placed a perfect string of constellations along the path of the planets, moon, and sun one for each month, 30 degrees apart along the eliptic, called in Hebrew, the Mazzaroth, we call it the Zodiac.

God Himself talks about this in the book of Job, which is the oldest book in the Bible:
Job 38: 31  Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
32  Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
33  Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
(See also Amos 5:8)

Orion (hunter or glorious one) is a winter constellation. Pleiades (sail or 7 sisters) is a star cluster at the heart of Taurus (bull or ox).

Arcturus (He comes) is a orange giant 37 light years from earth in the constellation of Bootes (the herdsman, the coming one). It is the alpha star and the 4th brightest in the sky. It has an 11 million mile radius. Our sun’s radius is 432,450 miles.

Apparently, Job knew about the constellations and the Zodiac. Job lived 911 years before Moses in the time of Peleg who saw the earth divided into 7 continents and 7 seas. Job’s father was Joktan; we read in Gn 10 that he had 13 sons, of which Job or Jobab was the youngest. The time of Job was 1757 years from Adam and 2352 years before Christ.

Understand this, the stars were put into the heavens to teach us. God outlined the Gospel in the stars to magnify His Son and give fathers reference in the sky to teach their sons the truth of God and his plan to redeem mankind from Adam’s sin. All of this was done because there was not a Bible for them to use.

Here is a chart of the 12 signs and their Decans which were the recognized constellations in the mid 17th century. (E. W. Bullinger)

The stars and heavenly objects reflect the majesty of God, their creator. They are not meant to be worshiped. The stars cannot determine your traits or your individual future. These things were introduced in the days of ancient Babylon and pervert the true meaning God intended for us.

Ps 147:4  He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
5  Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Ps 19:1 ¶  « To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. » The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4  Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6  His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

David may not have understood all of the aspects of the heavens and their movements, but he believed and knew that God had made them for us.

The Zodiac from ancient times viewed from above  and looking South around the earth would look like this.

On a clock face like a Zodiac wheel, that would put Virgo at 1:00, Scorpio at the 3:00 position, Aquarius at the 6:00 position, Taurus at the 9:00 position, and Leo at the 12:00 position. This would be looking from space from the bottom of the earth towards the North.

These 4 are the “corners” of the Zodiac or Mazzaroth and represent the special creation of the Seraphim of God. These special creatures were probably the first Angels created.

Virgo (virgin) is the starting place for the Bible Zodiac, as she is Mary, the mother of the Messiah, our Lord Jesus. The alpha star is Al Zimach (the branch) or Spica in Latin (corn). Virgo is pictured as a young virgin holding a branch and some corn. Jesus is also prophesied as the coming Branch in Jeremiah.

Seeing the Seraphim

Isaiah

Isa 6:1 ¶  In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2  Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 ¶  Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6  Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7  And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

8  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

In Isaiah's experience with God and the Seraph, we can see the Grace of Jesus, for from a coal from the Heavenly altar, his sins were purged. And so Isaiah felt he could now stand before God justified, and ready for God's work to be done in his life.

John
Rev 4: 1 ¶  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

2  And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5  And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6  And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

7  And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

8 ¶  And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

9  And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10  The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11  Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The name of God known as the Tetragrammaton from which we try and speak the unspeakable as Jehovah or Yaweh is composed of the Hebrew letters Yud Hey Vav Hey. These are a combination of letters that mean: the One who is, who was, and who is to come, just as the Seraphim said.

The crowns cast by the elders are a revelation of God’s Grace. They are rewards, that came from God in the first place. The elders know this, and who God is, and His love.
Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Now, John’s vision continues and he gets to see Jesus in Heaven as the lamb slain, and He takes the scroll with 7 seals from God on the throne.

This scroll is possibly the title deed to the earth, for when the seals are open by Jesus the terrible things start to unfold in Revelation until Jesus returns with the armies of Heaven. Of course the slain lamb with 7 horns and 7 eyes is an allegory and symbol, for Jesus is and was the Lamb of God from whom emanates the 7 Spirits of God.

Ezekiel sees God’s Cherubs with 4 faces
1 ¶  Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
2  In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity,
3  The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

4 ¶  And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north,

a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

5  Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
6  And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

7  And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

8  And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

9  Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

10  As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

11  Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

12  And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
13  As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
14  And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

15 ¶  Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
16  The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

17  When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
18  As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
19  And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
20  Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
21  When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

22  And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
23  And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
24  And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

25  And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
26 ¶  And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
27  And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
28  As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
1 ¶  And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
2  And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

Some of what we learn from these scriptures is that the Seraphim that surround God are creatures that resemble a Lion, Ox, Man, and Eagle. Each had 6 wings, and all of them praise God continually.

Ps 22:3  But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
The praise of the Seraphim surround God continually. This sets an atmosphere around God that can only be copied with worship in Spirit and praise. Maybe this praise is what forms the emerald hue around God's throne.

The Seraphim are instrumental in keeping praise glory and worship to God. They are always with Him. Even though Ezekiel did not mention them, that does not mean they were not there. The platform that Ezekiel describes is like a portable Throne Room, piloted by the 4 faced Cherubim, whose faces are that of the Seraphim.

Because each of these witnesses give us a different perspective, we can get a complete picture, kind of like each of the gospels when put together give us a complete picture of the Gospel and life of Jesus. Each of the Seraphim give us a different aspect of Jesus.  Each of the 4 gospels are also represented by the creatures of the Seraphim, which we will discuss later.

God has created a multitude of Angels that cannot be numbered.
Rev 5: 11  And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12  Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

You can learn more about angels from my blog; What are Angels? Our focus in this teaching is the Seraphim. As I said these were the first creation of God and very mighty in their power.

These pictures may not depict the awesomeness of the Seraphim with the accuracy of those who saw them. They are no doubt very powerful beings.

Sculpture Relief of Seraphim are found around the world on cathedrals and churches.

                                                       France at St Trophime portal

Here is a stained glass window at St Denis North showing creation day, Zodiac, order of the heavens and the fall.

Christ and Seraphim in Orthodox church.

St Joseph's Orthodox church.

Some think that the 4 faced Cherubs that Ezekiel saw when God visited him are what the Cherubs looked like on the top of the mercy seat, the top of the Ark of the Covenant.

I am not sure if that was the case, although it could be. I posted a picture of a sculpture of that earlier under Ezekiel's experience.
I will go along with the description of Ron Wyatt, who is the only modern man that I know that has seen the Ark.

Remember that Seraphim and Cherubim are different classes of Angels. There are differences; Seraphim have 6 wings and Cherubim have 4 from the Biblical descriptions. Lucifer was a Cherub that had musical instruments incorporated into his body.

Israel’s Camp

Not only did God place their symbols in the heavens for all to see, but He also had Moses set up the camp of the Israelites according to the signs of the Seraphim; 3 tribes in each cardinal direction.

The tribes were divided under the flag of each of the 4, and the 2 tribes joining the principal tribe would have their own flag; all from the signs of the Zodiac or Mazzaroth. The numbers of each of the tribes and the organization of the camp resembles a cross from above. All of the Tabernacle, heavenly bodies, and the Bible for that matter glorifies God’s Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Levites were camped next to the Tabernacle and divided to the North, South, and West according to their Tabernacle responsibilities. Moses, Aaron, and Miriam camped near the entrance to the East as that was the way to the door. The door of linen was embroidered with scarlet (blood), white (purity), purple (royalty), and blue (Deity).
Jesus said, I AM the way the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father except by me, Jn14:6.
All things in the Tabernacle glorified and represented Jesus, the Son.

The Seraphim Attributes

Their signs in the Heavens; Leo 12:00, Scorpio 3:00, Aquarius 6:00, and Taurus 9:00.

The Lion

A symbol of power and kingship.

The constellation in the Heavens is Leo.

The alpha star in Leo is Regulus, which means "the King". The constellation looks like a lion laying down with the backwards question mark being the mane, with the alpha star, Regulus at the bottom.

The area in the sky around Leo looks like this in constellation art. The King is chasing Hydra below, the fleeing serpent. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and rule the earth as well as the universe in peace and righteousness.

The resurrected Jesus is the King of the universe and is called the Lion of the tribe of Judah, Rev 5:5. The Roman government proclaimed Jesus The King of the Jews, Mt 27:37.

Judah’s flag was a lion (Leo) on the East side of the Tabernacle and next to Judah was Issachar (Cancer), and then Zebulun (Virgo).

Matthew’s gospel records the Kingly line of Jesus, from David to Joseph and declares Him as the King.

From the infant Jesus whom the wise men came to worship as the King of the Jews to the resurrected One who has all power given unto Him in Heaven and earth and sends His followers to teach all nations in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost to observe all that He has commanded us.

The ancient element sign is Fire. John the Baptist who introduced Jesus as the Lamb of God, and the one who would baptize us in fire and the Holy Ghost.

The color is purple which represents royalty and was displayed in the ancient Tabernacle gate, covering of the Holy Place, and the Veil.

Jesus is often portrayed as the Lion and the Lamb because He is the Lion from the tribe of Judah and also the Lamb of God, which was known to be from the foundation of the world.

Re 13:8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The Ox

A symbol of work and sacrifice, but it can be a raging bull.

The sacrificial ox was Jesus, who also was the Lamb of God. His labor on the earth was only to do the will of His Father.

The sign in the Heavens is Taurus, a charging bull yet a beast of burden and sacrifice. The star at the tip of the left horn is El Nas (wounded or slain).

Taurus the charging bull, coming forth with wrath and judgment. Jesus came as the suffering servant and sacrifice for the sins of the world. He will return as a charging bull and vanquish His enemies in righteous judgment.

The constellation is found by looking for the alpha star Al Deboran (the Leader), which is the eye of the bull and the center of the star cluster Hyades (the congregated). Taurus is to the upper right of Orion and the Pleiades (congregation of the judge or leader) is at the heart of the bull.

Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew language and means ox and leader. Tav is the last letter of the Hebrew language and is a cross. Jesus referred to Himself as the Alpha and Omega which is Greek. In Hebrew it would be Aleph Tav. These two letters are used often in Hebrew with major events in the Bible, however they are not translated. They are the signature of the King of the universe by whose hands all was made.

Joseph’s flag was the ox (Taurus) which were 2 tribes, Ephraim and Manesseh on the West side of the Tabernacle and next to them was Benjamin (Gemini).

Mark’s gospel starts off with the Baptism of Jesus by John, the voice of one crying in the wilderness to prepare the way of the LORD, the Holy Spirit descending upon Jesus, the Father saying “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, the call of the disciples, and miracles of the work of Jesus on the earth as the servant of God. The faithful sacrificial Ox. Then ending with the LORD giving the power of His followers to cast out demons, speak with new tongues, to take up serpents, and drink any deadly thing and not have harm, and lay hands on the sick and they would recover. And they went forth and preached the gospel and the LORD worked with them and confirmed His Word with signs following

The ancient element sign is Earth.
Jesus is also known in scripture as the "rock" and twice in the wilderness, God had Moses to demonstrate the rock as Jesus, and out came water for all the people to drink. This is a symbol of the water of life and the Holy Spirit.

The color is scarlet representing the Blood of Jesus that redeemed mankind. This was represented in the Tabernacle gate, Holy Place, and Veil.

Jesus said,  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls, Mt 11:29.

Man

Divinity in man was Jesus. He was to be called Immanuel (God with us).

Isa 7:14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

The sign in the Heavens is Aquarius (water bearer or pourer). The symbol is waves like this.

Aquarius is found by looking for the water bottle in the sky just below and to the right of the great square of Pegasus.

The alpha star is Saad al Melik (record of pouring forth). Beta star is Saad al Sund (who goes and returns and pours out).

Aquarius is pouring water from a jug on the fish Piscis Astrinus. This is a symbol of Jesus pouring the Water of Life (Holy Spirit) on the Church (fish).

Re 21:6  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Ruben’s flag was a man (Aquarius) on the South side of the Tabernacle and next to Ruben was Simeon (Pisces), and then Gad (Aries). Jesus was that man, the fullness of the Godhead in one body, Col 2:9. Of course the flag just had a man's face and was not this picture of Jesus.

Luke’s gospel records the genealogy of Jesus through David’s son, Nathan which was not royalty, but the line of Mary, Jesus’ mother. In Luke 3:23 ..being as supposed the son of Joseph; this was because the bloodlines normally followed the father. Luke’s record of the genealogy of Mary goes back to Adam confirming the humanity of Jesus.

Luke starts with the story of Zacharias being visited by the Angel Gabriel, to tell him that his wife, Elizabeth would conceive a son that he would call John who would go in the spirit of Elijah to prepare the way for the Messiah. Then Gabriel goes to Mary and she conceives by the Word of God, Jesus the savior of the world. Mary is the niece of Elizabeth which makes John and Jesus cousins 6 months apart. Jesus continues as the perfect man, born without sin, yet became sin for us at the cross. Then after he resurrection, He told His followers to stay in Jerusalem until they received the power of the Holy Ghost and led them out to Bethany, blessed them and flew away into Heaven.

The ancient element sign is Air. I don't really have a picture of air, so here is one of light. After all, Jesus is the Light of the World, Jn 8:12.

The color is white for purity as Jesus was a perfect man without sin.

You can see the 4 colors represented in the tabernacle in the Holy Place, and the door. White for purity, Purple for royalty, Blue for Divinity, and Red for the Blood of Jesus.

Aquarius pouring the water out of the Heavens onto the earth to the earth. This picture is good to describe the Grace of God who in personal form is Jesus who gives us (His own Church) the Water of life. This water is symbolic of the Holy Spirit for after you have been born again by receiving Jesus' Spirit, He will give you the Holy Spirit if you ask the Father, Lk 11:13.

The Seraph that has the face of the man.

Eagle- majestic, powerful, master of the heavens

The eagle has always been a sign of divinity. God told Israel that he brought them out of Egypt and bore them on eagle’s wings to Himself, Ex 19:4

Isa 40:31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The sign in the Heavens is Scorpio (the scorpion) and associated constellations which I will explain shortly.

Alpha star is Antares (wounding).

Dan’s flag was the Eagle on the North side of the Tabernacle with Asher (Sagittarius) next, and then Naphtali (Capricorn).

John’s gospel starts off with: 1 ¶  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. There is no genealogy, only that Jesus was God in the flesh who John and the disciples witnessed. John goes into great detail of Jesus telling of the importance of receiving His body and blood. John ends his book telling that all the signs that are written are so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that believing you might have life through His Name. He shows the benevolence and forgiveness of Jesus in having Peter confess that he loves Jesus 3 times, to cover the 3 denials. He also says there were many other things that Jesus did which the world could not contain the books that should be written.

The ancient element sign is water. Jesus is the One who gives us the water of life.

The color is blue for Deity. This is also shown in the Tabernacle gate, Holy Place, and Veil.

Here is a Tallit Tzitzit with the blue ribbon through it, representing the Messiah, or Jesus Nu 15:38. In this portion of the scripture is Aleph Tav, the untranslated signature of Jesus.

Those who trust in the LORD will mount up with Eagle's wings, Isa 40:31.

Scorpio = Eagle

How can Scorpio be the Eagle in the Biblical Mazzeroth or Zodiac?

The ancient symbol for Scorpio was an eagle. It is not known today why, but all of the Astrology lore associates the eagle with Scorpio.

The ancient Magi also had Scorpio as the eagle and one of the 4 corners of the Mazzaroth or Zodiac. It was Daniel who ran the school of the Magi for most of his life while being a Jewish captive, yet he was the Prime Minister for 4 kings.

It was the Magi that came from from the East and the area of Babylon to worship the baby Jesus when they recognized His star in the Heaven.

It would be easy to connect Jesus with the eagle, but we need to do this with the proper place in the heavens that Scorpio occupies...and see why.

Scorpio is also associated with the Phoenix bird that was resurrected in fire.

The serpent is also associated with Scorpio.

So, in order to understand why the Eagle is Scorpio, we will need to look at the sky above Scorpio.

Scorpio (scorpion) sits on the elliptic and touching that is Ophiuchus (serpent holder), passing through him is Serpens (serpent), and near the head of the serpent is Corona Borealis (Crown).

Above this is Aquila (eagle) and next to the eagle is Sagitta (arrow).

Let us examine each to understand why God put them in the Heavens this way and what it means.

Meanings of Area Constellation Stars

Aquila is the Eagle, easy to find above Scorpio.

Next to Aquila is Sagitta the arrow by itself it has pierced the eagle who is wounded and falling.

Below the Eagle is Ophiuchus (serpent holder, shepherd) Who is holding Serpens (serpent).

Constellation Ophiuchus

Constellation art of the area depicts the scene.

The serpent head is reaching for Corona Borealis (the Crown) and the Shepherd is holding the serpent back while stomping on the scorpion's heart with one foot and getting stung by the scorpion in the other foot. The picture of Genesis 3: He shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel". The Hebrew here is "crush".

Corona Borealis (the Crown) Constellation.

Scorpio is the Eagle

As I have alluded, I do not follow Astrology, but I do follow God, and He made the heavens for us to learn from. This is my revelation of Scorpio being the eagle and why.

The scorpion and the serpent are both Satan.
The serpent was possessed by Satan to tempt Eve into disobedience of God’s command to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam followed her as well and sin entered the world. God cursed the serpent and told Satan that the seed of the woman (Jesus) would bruise his head, but the serpent would bruise His heel, Gn 3.

The Shepherd is Jesus who is holding back the serpent from reaching the Crown which is the power of God to rule...this crown now belongs to Jesus.

Satan used the power he gained from Adam to have dominion of the earth. Throughout man’s history, Satan has tried to be God, and rule by attacking those who belong to God. Isa 14, Ez 28.
Paul calls Satan the god of this world,
2Co 4:4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
He is also called the prince of the power of the air,
Eph 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

Satan's power is about to expire, for man's time of dominion on earth is 6000 years.

Jesus is stomping the scorpion’s heart, while the scorpion is stinging his heel.
Jesus came to this world to destroy the works of the devil,
1Jo 3:8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Those who become Children of God by accepting Jesus as their Saviour can be part of His Body and tread on serpents and scorpions,
Lu 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Brazen Serpent

Jesus became sin for us that we might be redeemed, but He was without sin,
2Co 5:21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Jesus had to be crucified and lifted up on the cross similar to the brazen serpent on a pole in the days of Moses;
Jn 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

In numbers 21 when the Israelites were in the wilderness for 40 years they disobeyed God and He lifted his protection from them and they were bitten by fiery serpents and were dying.

God told Moses to fashion a brazen serpent and lift it up on a pole and all who would look upon it were healed.

Brass symbolizes judgment. Jesus was judged for our sins by God though He was innocent. All who look up to Him will receive Salvation which includes healing.

This is the monument of Moses on Mt. Nebo in Jordan of the serpent on the pole which became the symbols for our healers.

We know that this is a symbol of what Jesus did for us. 2Co 5:21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The Eagle has been mortally wounded by the arrow which was shot by unknown source and is falling. The Eagle is Jesus in His Heavenly position, now became man and the eternal sacrifice for mankind. The arrow was authorized by God; as man cannot save himself, only the pure blood of the Lamb of God can cleanse man. So God Himself provided the sacrifice.

Isa 53:4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (Hebrew here is sickness and disease.)
10 ¶  Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

The blood of the Eagle falls on the serpent and the scorpion and destroys them. This is the final destruction of Satan and his eternal place of torment is the lake of fire,

Re 20:10  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Jesus’ passion as he bore the sin of man was as the serpent on the pole (Moses Nu 21) and as His body was laid in the tomb it looked hopeless for his followers. But the blood of Jesus on the altar of the cross has cleansed the sin of man even unto Heaven’s own altar.
Heb 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb 10:10  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Therefore the Eagle rises in perfection like the Phoenix, but eternal, to the highest heaven.

Jesus rose from the dead  after 3 days and now sits at the right hand of the Father as King of the universe.

Jesus wears the Crown and is forever King sitting at the right hand of the Father.

Us who follow Jesus will mount up with eagle’s wings.
Isa 40:31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
