I am totally convinced that the Bible is the Word of God and is true, however that came by years of study and learning to trust God.
The object of this blog is to bring to your attention some of the discoveries of ancient artifacts that confirm Biblical accounts.
The following discoveries were made by Ron Wyatt 1933-1999. His findings and museum as well as videos, books, and other things are available at https://wyattmuseum.com/index.htm#. Most of his discoveries were in the 1970's.
Noah's Ark
Found in Turkey near Mt. Ararat, the petrified ship meets all the dimensions of the Ark built by Noah to survive the great flood recorded in Genesis 6, and in all cultures of the world.
Noah's Ark seen from space on Google Earth
The ship agrees with all the dimensions written in the Bible which was big enough to carry all known animal species of the time with food for all, including the 8 people on board, with room to spare.
The Ark had 3 decks made of wood, which Ron Wyatt found pieces of. The Ark was covered inside and out with asphalt, which helped preserve it. God told Noah to do this.
Rib Timbers
Ron Wyatt did several scientific test on the site to prove that it was man made and took his findings to the Turkish Government which made Noah's Ark Park with a visitor's center with some of the artifacts displayed there. The visitor's center overlooks the Ark.
Here is a YouTube video from Wyatt Museum that shows some finds and a drone flight over Noah's Ark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0p143lxb5c
Here are some anchor stones that were hung below the Ark to stabilize it in rough seas. They were cut loose as the waters receded.
The crosses on these drogue stones were carved by pilgrims that came to worship here. These were the largest drogue stones ever found. The Ark of Noah held the record for the largest ship until the passenger ships in the 1900's.
The decks have collapsed withing the hull of the ship after several thousand years, yet the evidence is without doubt.
The Ark is proof of God's love for man. The people of the earth were corrupt, and God saved the human race by Noah and his 3 sons and their wives. The first time Grace is mentioned in the Bible is that Noah found Grace in the eyes of the LORD. All the land animals we have today are descendants of the cargo of this great ship. The whole earth was repopulated from the 8 souls on board.
Sodom and Gomorrah
In Genesis 19, we read about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities of the plain. Ron Wyatt found remains of these cities that were totally destroyed by fire sent from God for their evil ways. This is near the Dead Sea in Israel.
City walls reduced to standing ash. (note the square corners)
Sulfur contained in side of ampules that rained from the sky (brimstone). Wyatt had the sulfur analyzed and it was 90% pure. Sulfur is not found like that in nature. But there are thousands of these ampules found here.
A ziggurat and towers, now just standing ash.
An arched doorway
God's judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them are recorded in this evidence. Yet it was another rescue, for the cities were destroyed for their sin and perversion, Lot (Abraham's nephew), his wife and 2 daughters were saved from destruction. God had promised Abraham that if there was 10 people who were good, He would spare the city. There was only 4. Lot's wife did turn back and was killed.
Red Sea Crossing by Israel
In Exodus we read about the story of Moses, whom God saved from death, and sent to deliver the Israelites from Egypt and the slavery they were burdened in. The Bible says that when Israel went East and came against the Red Sea that God told Moses to hold his staff over the waters and that they divided and after the night of wind blowing over the mud, Israel crossed over on dry land. The Egyptian army that were chasing them attempted to follow, but the sea came back over them and drowned Egyptians.
Here is the route that Israel took from Goshen (on the Nile in Egypt) to Mt. Sinai (in Saudi Arabia)
from Google Earth.
The actual crossing site from Nuweiba across the Red Sea in the Gulf of Aqaba into Saudi Arabia.
Christian tradition over Helena (Constantine's mother) was that Mt. Sinai was on the Sinai Peninsula. Wyatt could find no evidence there, and God led him to Nuweiba and on to the real Mt. Sinai. Nuweiba is an acronym in Arabic which means "Moses parted the water".
Wyatt and his sons diving in the Red Sea.
The evidence from the Red Sea crossing was convincing. Here are some chariot wheels and axles.
Royal golden Egyptian chariot wheel.
Wyatt also found a pillar of granite 25' long that was placed there by King Solomon to mark the crossing site.
It was found in the water with most of the writing wore away by the waves and sand. Egypt erected it in Nuweiba.
The reason they know that Solomon placed it, is because they found it's mate on the other side of the Red Sea with the writings still on it which in Hebrew had the story of the crossing. The other column was taken by the Saudi Arabia government and a marker put where it stood.

Human femur found in Red Sea crossing site.
The Exodus is another example of God's love. Abraham was God's friend. Israel is descended from Abraham's 12 great grandsons, the sons of Jacob. God saved them, and gave to them His Word.
Israel camp in Rephidim
After the crossing the people later went to Rephidim where God had Moses to strike the rock which split and brought them water. (there were 2.5 to 3 million people this water was abundant and made a lake there)
Where the water flowed and eroded the rocks.

What the lake would look like there.
Campsites at Rephidim.
God fed His people with bread from Heaven. He gave them water from the Rock (which is a representation of Jesus the Rock of our Salvation, who gives us living water). God led them and was in the midst of them.
Mount Sinai
From there Israel went to Mt. Sinai and camped below the mountain. God gave them the Commandments there. Wyatt's found evidence shows that this is Jabal al Laws in Saudi Arabia.
Moses went up the mountain to receive the Commandments. While he was gone, the people built an altar and worshiped a golden calf. Here is the golden calf altar where they were camped (under Jabal al Laws in Saudi Arabia.)
The fence was put up after Wyatt showed the Saudi Government the altar. They also fenced the site area where you could walk up to Mt. Sinai.
After the people heard God's voice from Mt. Sinai, they were terrified. There were markers put up around the mountain so that people would not go past them, as directed by God. At Jabal al Laws were markers found.
Moses' altar under the Mt. Sinai. (Jabal al Laws).
While camped at Mt. Sinai, the tabernacle was built, there were pillars that were set up for each of the 12 tribes. These were found at the foot of Jabal al Laws.
Here is camp sites that were found at Mt. Sinai in (Saudi Arabia).
The evidence of 2,500,000 people here is evident. The traditional site has no such evidence. This is where the Torah (1st 5 books of the Bible) were written my Moses, God's servant.
Jethro's House were Moses lived
When Moses fled Egypt in Exodus 2 we read that he was about 40 years old and lived with the Priest Jethro and married his daughter, Zipphora. This Southwest of Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia. Moses lived here for 40 years before seeing God in the burning bush and being called to deliver Israel from Egyptian slavery. He knew the area where he was going to lead the people by God's hand.

The Bible tells us that there were Giants in the earth prior to the flood, and that there were Giants in the land when Israel conquered Canaan, as well of the time of King David.

Ron Wyatt also said that he had seen the Ark of the Covenant that was buried outside of Jerusalem. However, pictures he took did not come out. The Ark remains buried. He described it as thus:
The story can be found at the Wyatt website. It is amazing; as he actually had a sample analyzed of the blood on the Mercy Seat. This blood came from Jesus and His crucifixion and went down through 30' of rock after the earthquake that day.
The following discoveries were made by Adam Zertal 1926-2015. He was a Professor of Archaeology at the University of Haifa, Israel. He wrote the book, "A Nation Born."
Joshua was the one who took Moses' place as leader of Israel. He took them into the Promised Land and divided the land to the 12 Tribes.
Moses told to pronounce the blessings and cursings to the people when he got there at Mt. Gerizim and Mt. Ebal, Deu 11 and 27.
Adam Zertal found Joshua's Altar on Mt. Ebal. This was a real upset in the Palestinian world, for it proves that Israel was here claiming the land just as the Bible describes in Joshua 8.
There was pottery from the period and other artifacts as well. God had instructed Joshua to plaster the stones of the altar with the commands written in the plaster. The plaster has long since worn away, but remnants of the plaster still remain. Zertal was an atheist and had been taught in college that the Bible was a book of myths and not true. Discovery of Joshua's Altar changed Adam Zertal's life and he became a Jew who believes in God and in the Bible.
Looking at Joshua's Altar from above you can see that the area around it looks like a footprint. It is also situated on a mountain side that is a natural amphitheater, where many people could sit and watch; and participate in worship.
Aaron Lipkin from Samaria Israel is an archaeologist who has continued with the work that Adam Zertal had began in this area. He has found other "footprint" sites which are in Jordan and come into Samaria.
He explains that when the Israelites came into the land they came from the East across the Jordan River. They had learned from the Egyptians that the leaders put their enemies under their feet. God does the same in His Word:
Ps 110:1 ¶ «A Psalm of David.» Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
When Joshua captured the kings of Canaan, he had his officers put their feet on their necks.
Josh 10:24 And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.
25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
Also when God came down on Mt. Sinai and met with Moses and elders, He had a footstool that was a large Sapphire stone.
Ex 24:10 and they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were the very heaven for clearness.
So when Israel would have their time of worship and a ceremony they would do it high on a hill where the sound of their worship would amplify and the people could hear from the reflection of the sound. They would make a dual stone path around the site in the shape of a foot for God's people were using His footsteps to take the country, and proclaim it for God and His people. The center of the footprint would be a flat rock area where the ceremony was displayed, and the people who were participating in worship would walk around the "foot" in the path between the rocks.

Bethel (house of God)
Another ancient site that shows Biblical truth is Bethel. Here is where Abraham first called upon the Name of the Lord when God showed him the land and gave the land to him. Here is where Jacob laid his head to sleep on the way to his Uncle Laban to obtain a wife and saw heaven opened up. This special place called Macomb in Hebrew as another name for God because here, Jacob saw the Gate to Heaven.
Here also is the area foundation where Jeroboam built his Temple for the worship of the golden calf to keep people from going to Jerusalem, 1 Ki 12. The Tabernacle was here for a long time at the time of the Judges, Jud 20 and 21. There are many tombs here because people wanted to be buried in this special place. There is a Crusader Chapel here and next to it a Muslim shrine.
In Jerusalem, the Crusaders covered many of the places that were connected with Jesus Christ with elaborate churches: Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem a few miles from Jerusalem.
Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Jesus' crucifixion site and tomb)
In the 1800's, the Garden Tomb was excavated, which was close to Golgotha (place of the skull of Goliath) and was in a garden as the Gospels describe. The blocks were placed to repair earthquake damage. Many Christians believe this is the actual tomb of Joseph of Arimathea where Jesus' body was laid.
Church of the Agony (where Jesus prayed on the rock in the Garden of Gethsemane). This is where Jesus was in such agony that he sweated blood. The Holy One of God who knew no sin, was going to become sin.
On the Temple Mount itself is the Dome of the Rock, a Muslim shrine that covers the sacrificial rock that was in the courtyard of Solomon's Temple. The cistern carved into the rock that collected the blood holds 10,000 gallons. When Solomon dedicated the Temple, they sacrificed 22,000 cattle, and 120,000 sheep and goats, 2 Cron 7. There was a great feast there.
(Muslims believe that Mohammed ascended to heaven in a dream on his horse from here).
This is also traditionally the rock where Abraham bound Isaac for the sacrifice on Mt. Moriah.
I know that seeing the things in Israel affected my life. I was a believer, but to actually see the places where Jesus was, made the reading of the Bible come to life. It was the same for me when I saw the discoveries of Ron Wyatt, and of Adam Zertal. It is amazing enough to read the Bible about these things but to see them is wonderful for further affirmation.
I will leave you with this: The Bible is true, and the evidence is compelling. The evidence I presented here is very cool. But, the whole creation points to God; the universe, and the complexities of DNA, and the symbiance of life on earth. Jesus is the Salvation of God. If you do not know Him just pray: Lord I believe you are the Son of God. Jesus, I call upon Your Name to save me.
