Gospel of the Old Ones (DSS)

This blog is about the writings of old that were found in the Dead Sea Scrolls that were discovered from 1947 - 1956. These are records that date back through all history of man since the first man, who was Adam (circa 4000 BC). The information was not readily available for many years, but has been released in the last few decades. Isaiah speaks of these Old Ones speaking to us from the ground in the latter days:

Isa 29:4  And thou shalt be brought down, [and] shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.

Israel houses the scrolls in the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem. The roof of the building is fashioned like the jar lids that encased the scrolls in clay jars in the caves of Qumran, where they were found.

Qumran Jars that contained the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Caves of Qumran where the Essenes kept the records of the Old Ones and all of the 39 books of the Old Testament were also found there. There are many other scrolls of history that were found, including the ancient books of Jasher, Jubilees, and Enoch which are all mentioned in the Bible. All of these scrolls date back to about 200 BC when they were hidden.

According to the records of the Essenes they moved out of Jerusalem about 200 BC when the Pharisees and Sadducees were at war over the management of the Temple, and had been corrupting the Commandments of God as well as the calendar which they had changed to lunar. The Essenes had an elaborate solar calendar that kept very accurate years and seasons. The ages they declared were from Creation to Abraham, from Abraham to Messiah (Jesus), from the resurrection to the return of Messiah (Jesus), and the last 1000 years would be the reign of Christ on the earth. This time is a total of 7000 years with the 6000th year being the return of Jesus the Messiah who would give rest to the earth and the remnant of mankind for millennium. After that God would move His Heaven to the earth. The Bible agrees with this. At this point of time, January 2023, the Essene calendar places us at 53 years from the 6000 year mark. The corrupted Pharisee calendar puts us at 217 years from the day of the Lord. However according to the times in our Bible and doing the math we are 2 years from the return of Jesus. No wonder Jesus said "no man knows the day or the hour".

The Essenes were the true scribes and held and copied the testaments of the old ones and the books of the Old Testament. Among them were the Zadok Priests. The Essenes called themselves the "sons of light, while the Pharisees and Sadducees were called the "sons of darkness".

The amazing thing is, the Messiah Gospel of the Old Ones is the same Gospel that we have from our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Messiah. I have learned much from Ken Johnson Thd., which is on Prophecy Watchers and runs Bible facts.org. He proves all things from the DSS by our sacred Cannon, and knows by this truth and error. I am totally in agreement with this. The Bible is our foundation of solid truth.

Melchizedek Priests

Melchizedek Priests were Kings of the earth, Priests of the Most High God, and Prophets of God. All believed in Messiah which is God in man that would redeem mankind. Melchizedek means “my King is Righteousness” in Hebrew.

Their order was of God and lasted a lifetime in which their office was passed on to another or lost. Although they were all in the genealogy of Christ, they are not all the direct son of the reigning Priest/King/Prophet.

The first was Adam whom the Triune God gave dominion of the earth.

Gn 1:26 ¶  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Gn 2:7  And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Jasher 1:1 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and God created man in his own image. 2 And God formed man from the ground, and he blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul endowed with speech.

God formed woman from the side of man taking one of Adam's ribs. God saw them as one. Adam called her Eve, the mother of all living. After a time, Satan, the fallen angel who was at war with God, tempted Eve into eating from God's tree of knowledge of good and evil. He did this by possessing a serpent, for he did not have the ability to speak as a renegade spirit. Adam joined her rather than be without her. For God had said if they ate of the tree, dying they would die.

So God pronounced that He would send a Messiah from woman that would conquer Satan.

Gn 3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

This is the protoevangelium which means: first good news.

So they were banished from the perfect garden that God had planted for them,

God taught Adam of the sacrifice of innocent animals that their blood would cleanse them from sin from year to year. God made them clothes of the skins to keep them warm outside the garden.

Even though Adam had relinquished his dominion of earth to Satan, he was still the Priest, King, and Prophet of God. We do not have Adam's testament as yet, but he did teach his sons of the sacrifice. We see that in the record of Cain and Abel. In the book of Josephus the Jewish historian from the first century, it is mentioned that Adam knew that God would destroy the earth by water and fire, but that he did not know which order, Josephus 1-2-3. We know then that in the first century a testament of Adam was known to exist.

Adam and Eve had many sons and daughters, but the Christ line descends through Seth. Because of other Old One's testaments, we know that Adam taught of God, and of the Gospel written in the stars or the Mazzeroth.

Adam knew that the Messiah would come through the line of Seth. He watched on who to bestow the Melchizedek Priesthood and saw that his great grandson was the one.

The second one in the Melchizedek Order was Cainan (Kenan).

Jasher 2:9 And it was when men continued to rebel and transgress against God, and to corrupt their ways, that the earth also became corrupt. 10 And Enosh lived ninety years and he begat Cainan; 11 And Cainan grew up and he was forty years old, and he became wise and had knowledge and skill in all wisdom, and he reigned over all the sons of men, and he led the sons of men to wisdom and knowledge; for Cainan was a very wise man and had understanding in all wisdom, and with his wisdom he ruled over spirits and demons; 12 And Cainan knew by his wisdom that God would destroy the sons of men for having sinned upon earth, and that the Lord would in the latter days bring upon them the waters of the flood. 13 And in those days Cainan wrote upon tablets of stone, what was to take place in time to come, and he put them in his treasures. 14 And Cainan reigned over the whole earth, and he turned some of the sons of men to the service of God.

Cainan passed on the Order to his great grandson.

The third Melchizedek Order Priest was Enoch who was the 7th from Adam. Enoch has a book which is available, and was also in the DSS. Once again, this is not considered a part of our sacred Canon yet it is full of information that agrees with the Bible.

Enoch showed clearly all of the attributes of the Melchizedek Order as King, Priest, and Prophet

Jude, Jesus' half-brother wrote:

Jude 1:14  And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 ¶  To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Enoch was the first person to be raptured by God.

Gn 5:24  And Enoch walked with God: and he [was] not; for God took him.

Enoch wrote about dozens of doctrines that are in agreement with the Bible. Things like the flood, that Messiah would be born of a virgin and would be the Son of God as well as the Son of Man and God's only Salvation and was always in existence, the pre- tribulation Rapture, truth would be altered in latter days, 7000 years of history, as well as many more things. The book of Enoch begins with the fallen angels and their offspring being the giants or nephilim. He also talks about many of the angels of God as well as demons.

Enoch passed the Melchizedek Order on to his son, Methuselah.

The fourth Melchizedek Priest was Methuselah, which means, "his death shall bring." Enoch as a Prophet knew that at his son's death, the flood would come because of the corruption of men and the evil that was growing in the world. God wanted to give every one that had not been genetically corrupted a chance to repent and turn to Him. Methuselah was preaching the Gospel as we will see later.

Gn 5:25 ¶  And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech: 26  And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters: 27  And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died. 28 ¶  And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 29  And he called his name Noah, saying, This [same] shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

Lamech has a testament that was in the DSS. He was concerned at the birth of Noah, for his eyes lit up the room and his hair was white, he knew he was a special child, who could of been born of an angel. Lamech had seen the many nephilim born of the watchers or fallen angels and he was afraid. He went to Methuselah to confirm that Noah was not corrupted. He asked his wife first and she told him she had been with no other. Methuselah conferred with his father Enoch and they both assured Lamech that Noah was a chosen one and not corrupted. The book of Enoch confirms this in Ch 106 and assured Lamech that Noah was going to be the survivor of the coming flood. Lamech was comforted.

As Noah grew Methuselah knew that he was the one to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood.

The fifth Melchizedek Priest was Noah the grandson of Methuselah who was 369 years old when Noah was born. Noah grew up walking in the way of the LORD.

Gn 6:1 ¶  And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2  That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 ¶  And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 ¶  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown.

5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. 6 ¶  And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.7  And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air;  for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 ¶  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9  These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God. 10  And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Jasher (DSS) 5:5 And all who followed the Lord died in those days, before they saw the evil which God declared to do upon earth. 6 And after the lapse of many years, in the four hundred and eightieth year of the life of Noah, when all those men, who followed the Lord had died away from amongst the sons of men, and only Methuselah was then left, God said unto Noah and Methuselah, saying, 7 Speak ye, and proclaim to the sons of men, saying, Thus saith the Lord, return from your evil ways and forsake your works, and the Lord will repent of the evil that he declared to do to you, so that it shall not come to pass. 8 For thus saith the Lord, Behold I give you a period of one hundred and twenty years; if you will turn to me and forsake your evil ways, then will I also turn away from the evil which I told you, and it shall not exist, saith the Lord. 9 And Noah and Methuselah spoke all the words of the Lord to the sons of men, day after day, constantly speaking to them.

10 But the sons of men would not hearken to them, nor incline their ears to their words, and they were stiffnecked. 11 And the Lord granted them a period of one hundred and twenty years, saying, If they will return, then will God repent of the evil, so as not to destroy the earth. 12 Noah the son of Lamech refrained from taking a wife in those days, to beget children, for he said, Surely now God will destroy the earth, wherefore then shall I beget children? 13 And Noah was a just man, he was perfect in his generation, and the Lord chose him to raise up seed from his seed upon the face of the earth. 14 And the Lord said unto Noah, Take unto thee a wife, and beget children, for I have seen thee righteous before me in this generation.15 And thou shalt raise up seed, and thy children with thee, in the midst of the earth; and Noah went and took a wife, and he chose Naamah the daughter of Enoch, and she was five hundred and eighty years old. 16 And Noah was four hundred and ninety-eight years old, when he took Naamah for a wife.

17 And Naamah conceived and bare a son, and he called his name Japheth, saying, God has enlarged me in the earth; and she conceived again and bare a son, and he called his name Shem, saying, God has made me a remnant, to raise up seed in the midst of the earth. 18 And Noah was five hundred and two years old when Naamah bare Shem, and the boys grew up and went in the ways of the Lord, in all that Methuselah and Noah their father taught them. 19 And Lamech the father of Noah, died in those days; yet verily he did not go with all his heart in the ways of his father, and he died in the hundred and ninety-fifth year of the life of Noah.

Noah was perfect in his generations. That means that his genealogy was pure as was his 3 sons. He had Grace in the eyes of God. The book of Jasher from the DSS goes on to say that Noah went to Methuselah's son Eliakim and took 3 of his daughters for his sons. This would assure that humankind would continue on the earth. God gave Noah specific instructions on how to build the ark that would save human and land animal life from the coming catastrophic flood. The ark was a huge ship measuring 300 cubits long, by 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high with 3 decks. It feet that would be 512.5 L x 85.4 W x 51.2 H ; using the Egyptian royal cubit of 20.5 inches of which Moses, the writer of Genesis, was raised with. The Bible tells us that God Himself picked the perfect animals that came to Noah to be saved. There was plenty of room for all the kinds of animals, plus food and water for all of the occupants.

When Noah was 600, Methuselah died. God told Noah to come into the ark and shut the door on the side of the ship. It was 1656 years from Adam. The ark is a picture of our Lord Jesus; in Him we are safe, and we enter that assurance by His Blood which poured from His side and wounds.

The first rain on earth from the time of Adam lasted 40 days and the fountains of the deep were opened. The ark rode the flood that covered the earth for a year and rested on the mountains of Ararat when the waters subsided. Noah took from the clean animals and made sacrifice to God.

Gn 8:20 ¶  And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21  And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart [is] evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Gn 9:1 ¶  And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2  And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth [upon] the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3  Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4  But flesh with the life thereof, [which is] the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5  And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.
6  Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
7  And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
8 ¶  And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9  And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10  And with every living creature that [is] with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11  And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 ¶  And God said, This [is] the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that [is] with you, for perpetual generations:
13  I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14  And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15  And I will remember my covenant, which [is] between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16  And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that [is] upon the earth.
17  And God said unto Noah, This [is] the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that [is] upon the earth.
18 ¶  And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham [is] the father of Canaan.
19  These [are] the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

All of the nephilim were killed as well as the corrupted humans and animals in the flood. However, the war between God and Satan continued and there were still giants from the unholy union of fallen angels and women of the earth. There was a possession of a willing man involved, for the angels were not equipped with reproductive organs, Gn 6:4. Canaan was the first one born after the flood from Ham and Namaah, his mother. That is why he was cursed by Noah, Gn 9.

Jubilees 10:
  1. And in the third week of this jubilee the unclean demons began to lead astray the children of the sons of Noah, and to make to err and destroy them.
  2. And the sons of Noah came to Noah their father, and they told him concerning the demons which were leading astray and blinding and slaying his sons' sons.
  3. And he prayed before the Lord his God, and said:

'God of the spirits of all flesh, who hast shown mercy unto me
And hast saved me and my sons from the waters of the flood,
    And hast not caused me to perish as Thou didst the sons of perdition;

For Thy grace has been great towards me,
    And great has been Thy mercy to my soul;

Let Thy grace be lift up upon my sons,
And let not wicked spirits rule over them
Lest they should destroy them from the earth.

  4. But do Thou bless me and my sons, that we may increase and Multiply and replenish the earth.
  5. And Thou knowest how Thy Watchers, the fathers of these spirits, acted in my day: and as for these spirits which are living, imprison them and hold them fast in the place of condemnation, and let them not bring destruction on the sons of thy servant, my God; for these are malignant, and created in order to destroy.
Jubilees 10 continues that 90% of these demons were imprisoned. Also that the secrets of healing herbs were given to Noah.

The Testament of Noah, DSS
Excerpts from Ancient Testaments of the Patriarchs in the DSS by Ken Johnson THD.

Noah wrote a testament and described his encounters with and the visions he had from God. Fragments found that attribute Noah as the author. "A copy of the book of the words of Noah..."

Column 6- From my birth my mother taught me in the ways of righteousness. My whole life I walked in the truth of the Holy One as He had instructed. I kept away from the paths of deceit which lead to eternal darkness. I studied the visions of truth and wisdom, praying ceaselessly, and avoided the paths of violence.

Noah speaks further about the blood shed by the Nephilim that were made by the daughters of men whom the fallen made unclean by divination.

How the animals had also been corrupted by the fallen angels. Jasher 4:18 also mentions how species had been mixed to create an abomination before which was corrupt.

Also how he found grace, prominence and righteousness in the eyes of the lord.

Column 7- You will govern the entire earth: all that is upon it including the mountains and the seas...forbid the worship of all the host of heaven; the sun, moon, starts, and the Watchers.... the Great Holy One.

Nothing that Noah wrote is out of line with the Bible or the other DSS writings about him. It is too lengthy to include here.

Noah's vision of the tree:  Noah sees himself as a strong cedar tree on the mountain of the earth. This dream came when Noah slept after the New Year festival and first wine harvest. Three branches come off of it (his 3 sons). Two rogue branches attack the tree (Nimrod and Canaan both from Ham's line). The one branch continues (Shem) from which line One will shed His blood to save mankind (Messiah, Jesus). The Bible makes it clear the Canaan was the son of Ham. While Noah slept, Ham "saw his father's nakedness" which was Noah's wife, his own mother. Noah then curses Canaan which is the son of Ham and his mother, Naamah, Gn 9.

Noah' visions of  tree and empires from Prophecy Watchers

Noah's vision of the future world empires and Israel. He sees the world empires as metal pyramids in order of stones/lead- Babylon (Nimrod),  soft metal clay- Egypt, gold, Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar), silver- Medio Persia, copper, Greece, Iron- Rome, lead- mystery Babylon, and clay- S and E of Israel. The forest of trees is the nations of the earth. The olive tree is Israel which grows large and comes through Shem. The world empires all threaten the olive tree.

This vision lines up with the vision of Nebuchadnezzar that Daniel interpreted, but notice that there are only 6 there, for the time of Daniel, the first two empires had past.

Noah knows that the Messiah is coming through his blood line through Shem. He teaches Shem of all he has seen and heard from God. And so, the Melchizedek Order is passed on to him. Noah lived 350 years after the flood.

The sixth Melchizedek Priest is Shem, Noah's son. Noah knew by God that Shem was to continue on in the Order that would produce the Messiah (the olive tree or future Israel) Ham and Japheth were not the chosen line. Noah passed the Priesthood on the Shem before he died.

Gn 11:10 ¶  These [are] the generations of Shem: Shem [was] an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood: 11  And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

Shem knew of his father's prophecy and was on the watch for one of his descendents who would rise up against the evil growing out of Shinar. This was the original land of evil and wickedness of which Ham's grandson was the king...ancient Babylon.

Nine generations from Shem, Abram was born of Terah. Terah was in the court of Nimrod. His astrologers saw a sign in the heavens of Abram's birth and they told Nimrod that his kingdom was threatened for from this child would come a King that would defeat kings and possess the land. Terah hid his son for 10 years from Nimrod and then sent Abram to live with Noah and Shem. Abram lived with them for 39 years and learned the ways of the LORD, Jasher 7-9.

Shem watched Abram closely. When the battle of the kings took place in Gn 14, Nimrod (Amraphel) and his confederate kings invaded Sodom and the cities of the plain, 4 kings against 5. They took all their goods young men and women. This included Abram's nephew, Lot and his wife.

Gn 14:13 ¶  And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these [were] confederate with Abram.
14  And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained [servants], born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued [them] unto Dan.
15  And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which [is] on the left hand of Damascus.

16  And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17 ¶  And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that [were] with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which [is] the king’s dale.
18  And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he [was] the priest of the most high God.

19  And he blessed him, and said, Blessed [be] Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20  And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

At last one of Shem's line had come up against the evil from Shinar. Shem was the Melchizedek Priest that was acting in the Spirit of Messiah and brought Abram the first communion mentioned in the Bible.

Shem as the Melchizedek Priest, King, and Prophet passed the Order on to Abram.

Jasher 16:11 And Adonizedek king of Jerusalem, the same was Shem, went out with his men to meet Abram and his people, with bread and wine, and they remained together in the valley of Melech.12 And Adonizedek blessed Abram, and Abram gave him a tenth from all that he had brought from the spoil of his enemies, for Adonizedek was a priest before God.

The Testament of Abraham, DSS, agrees with and supports the Biblical account.

The seventh Melchizedek Priest was Abram whom God changed his name to Abraham later. In Gn 15 God makes Covenant with Abram and told him that he would have a son that would be from his own loins. He gives him and his descendants all the land from the River of Egypt to the River Euphrates. The LORD tells Abram that his descendants will be as the stars of heaven in multitude. Abram believed God and He counted it to him as righteousness.

Believing in God and His coming Messiah was the trait of all of these old ones that followed the Melchizedek Priesthood Order. Their belief (as was Abraham's) was counted to them as righteousness.

When Abram questioned God about a child because of his and his wife Sarai's age, God told him to prepare the sacrifice for a Covenant.

Gn 15:9  And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
10  And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.
11  And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.
12 ¶  And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

God then tells Abram that his descendents will be in Egypt for 400 years and afflicted, but will be delivered and come back to the land of Canaan because the iniquity of the Amorites was not yet full.

17 ¶  And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

In this Covenant, all Abram had to do was believe God, trust Him, and follow Him. The 3 large animals each 3 years old was a trinity in a trinity. In the horror of great darkness, Abram saw the future and what would happen to the Messiah who would be his descendent. This would be the death of Jesus for the sins of all who believe in Him. The Smoking Furnace was God passing through the pieces of the blood covenant. The Burning Lamp was the Messiah (eternal Son) passing through the pieces instead of Abram. The turtle dove and pigeon were what Mary and Joseph would take for the atonement of Jesus at the Temple 2000 years in the future.

Jesus told the Pharisees:
Jn 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Abram was called by God to leave his father Terah when he was 75 years old and he went out of Haran to the land of Canaan even though Abram did not know where he was going. Sarai told Abram that he should take her maid Hagar and have a child with her because she was past time. He did and Ishmael was born when Abram was 86. Ishmael became the father of most of the Arab world. When Abram was 99 and  Sarai was 89, God changed their names. He took hey from His name and changed Sarai to Sarah (princess), and Abram to Abraham (father of nations). The LORD is yod hey vav hey or as in the Bible, Jehovah. Hey is Grace and the breath of God. God told them both that Sarah would have a child by Abraham. They both laughed. One year later, Isaac was born, a miracle son, when Sarah was 90 and Abraham 100. Isaac was the son of promise. His name means laughter.

This is the son of promise, born to continue the Messianic line. The Bible has more detail than the DSS on this key event. The book of Jasher tell us that Abram was with Shem and Noah from 10 years old till 49. According to God's plan, he learned the way of the Lord. After Abram had defeated the evil Kings of Shinar, Shem followed God's will in bestowing on Abram the Melchizedek Priesthood. Now Abraham has an heir.

When Isaac was grown the LORD came to Abraham:
Gn 22:2  And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son] Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
3 ¶  And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
4  Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
5  And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
6  And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid [it] upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

7  And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here [am] I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where [is] the lamb for a burnt offering?
8  And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
9  And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
10  And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
11 ¶  And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.
12  And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me.
13  And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind [him] a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
14  And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah jireh: as it is said [to] this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
15 ¶  And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16  And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son]:
17  That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18  And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

In Gn 23 the chapter following the sacrifice of Isaac, we see that Sarah dies at the age of 127. That would make Isaac 37 years old.

In Jasher 23 is the story of Isaac's sacrifice it does not disagree with the Bible, but it does add several elements that are not mentioned in the Bible. It mentions that Satan tried to stop Abraham and Isaac in their journey to the mountain that God would show them, and that they both saw the Glory of God above the mount and a pillar of fire marking the mount. The two men with them did not see that, whom Jasher names as Ismael and Eliezer who waited with the donkey while Abraham and Isaac went to the mount. It describes how Satan went to Sarah in disguise and told her the Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac and she was very distressed, but when it did not happen, Satan returned as an old man and told her that Isaac lived and she was so full of joy that she died. Jasher 23:75 And all that Abraham did on this occasion by the altar, he would exclaim and say, This is in the room of my son, and may it this day be considered before the Lord in the place of my son; and Abraham finished the whole of the service by the altar, and the service was accepted before the Lord, and was accounted as if it had been Isaac; and the Lord blessed Abraham and his seed on that day.

Because of the Covenant between Abraham and God, and Abraham's willingness to offer his only son to God, that gave God the legal right to sacrifice His only Son for mankind's redemption.

The ram in the thorn thicket is a picture of Jesus with the crown of thorns.

Jewish tradition is that this ram's horns were the first shofars.

Jasher 24:17 And when the days of their mourning passed by Abraham sent away his son Isaac, and he went to the house of Shem and Eber, to learn the ways of the Lord and his instructions, and Abraham remained there three years. (That is in Hebron where he had bought a burial cave for his dead.)

The eighth Melchizedek Priest was Abraham's promised son, Isaac.

Abraham knew that Isaac was the one from whom the Messiah would descend. Paul describes the sacrificial event in Hebrews 11 where Abraham had no reservations in following God's command. He believed God and sent his trusted servant, Eliezer to his home town to find Isaac a wife from the descendants of Shem. He prayed for the LORD to guide him in his mission. He returned with Rebecca the granddaughter of Abraham's brother, Nahor, Gn 24.

Isaac was 40 when he married Rebecca. He was trained by his father and Shem in the ways of the Lord and to exercise the office of Melchizedek Priest, King, and Prophet.

As years passed Rebecca became pregnant with twins. There was a lot of pain for her and she went to the Lord who told her there was two nations in her womb and the elder would serve the younger.

Gn 25:24  And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, [there were] twins in her womb. 25  And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. 26  And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac [was] threescore years old when she bare them. 27  And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob [was] a plain man, dwelling in tents. 28  And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of [his] venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob. 29 ¶  And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he [was] faint: 30  And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom. 31  And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. 32  And Esau said, Behold, I [am] at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? 33  And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. 34  Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised [his] birthright.

In Jasher 27 it describes how Esau was faint from his hunt because he had killed the evil King Nimrod from Shinar and his two bodyguards when he came upon them in the wilderness. They were some distance from the rest of his army, but Esau escaped them. Esau took the garments from Nimrod which had been the original clothes that God had made for Adam. Earlier, in Jasher it tells how Ham had stolen the garments from Noah and passed them on to Cush who gave them to his son Nimrod who became powerful and a mighty hunter when he wore them. Nimrod was 215 years old when he died.

When it came time for Isaac to pass the blessing on to his firstborn, he was old and blind and dying. Rebecca knew that God had told her that Jacob was the one to whom the blessing should be passed. She devised a plan to fool Isaac into blessing Jacob. When Isaac sent Esau to go into the field and get him some venison and cook it for him and he would bless him. Rebecca then told Jacob to kill her a young goat and she would prepare savory meat for Isaac like he loved. She then put some of Esau's clothes on Jacob and put the skin of the goat on his arms and neck.

Gn 27:19  And Jacob said unto his father, I [am] Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me. 20  And Isaac said unto his son, How [is it] that thou hast found [it] so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought [it] to me. 21  And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou [be] my very son Esau or not. 22  And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice [is] Jacob’s voice, but the hands [are] the hands of Esau. 23  And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him. 24  And he said, [Art] thou my very son Esau? And he said, I [am]. 25  And he said, Bring [it] near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought [it] near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank. 26  And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son. 27  And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son [is] as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:

28  Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine: 29  Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed [be] every one that curseth thee, and blessed [be] he that blesseth thee.

Esau returned and found out what had happened and swore to kill Jacob after Isaac died. Rebecca then called Jacob and told him to flee to Haran to her brother Laban until things cooled off. She then went to Isaac and told him that she wanted Jacob to go to her brother and their find a wife and not get a wife from the women of Canaan. Isaac agreed and sent Jacob away to Padanaram to find a wife from his uncle. Isaac then blessed Jacob with the birthright and blessings of Abraham.

Gn 28:3  And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; 4  And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.

With the birthright and the blessings, Jacob became the ninth Melchizedek Priest.

Gn 28:10 ¶  And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. 11  And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put [them for] his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. 12  And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

13  And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I [am] the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; 14  And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. 15  And, behold, I [am] with thee, and will keep thee in all [places] whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done [that] which I have spoken to thee of. 16 ¶  And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew [it] not. 17  And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful [is] this place! this [is] none other but the house of God, and this [is] the gate of heaven. 18  And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put [for] his pillows, and set it up [for] a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

19  And he called the name of that place Bethel (house of God): but the name of that city [was called] Luz at the first. 20  And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, 21  So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: 22  And this stone, which I have set [for] a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

Jacob worked for his Uncle Laban for well over 20 years and left to go home to Canaan with 2 wives, 2 concubines, and 12 children. Plus a multitude of livestock he had got from Laban. He did reconcile with his brother Esau finally as we will see later. Esau, who had left home and married Ishmaelites from Canaan, had also become great.

On the way home he saw Angels of God that met him. He was afraid when he heard his brother was coming so he divided his family into two groups and sent them away with gifts for Esau.

Gn 32:24 ¶  And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25  And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26  And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27  And he said unto him, What [is] thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28  And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

29  And Jacob asked [him], and said, Tell [me], I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore [is] it [that] thou dost ask after my name?(as it is wonderful, DSS).  And he blessed him there. 30  And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

This no doubt was Jesus that came and confirmed the Covenant, changed Jacob's name to Israel (Prince of God), and confirmed Israel as the next Melchizedek Priest. Jesus gave him a limp to always remind him of this encounter.

In Jacob's testimony in the DSS, he has a dream in which he sees that his descendents would be enslaved in a foreign country and leave on a specific day that the LORD established. He sees a magnificent Temple with underground entrances and tunnels. He also sees the Priesthood being corrupted in the future.

In Jubilees 32, Jacob sees a vision of an Angel bringing seven tablets for him to read that tell of the future of Israel. He was told not to build a Temple at Bethel, but to go home to his father, Isaac. That he would die in Egypt and be buried with his fathers in Hebron, and that he would be reminded of all that he read on the seven tablets.

At the direction of God, Israel divided the Melchizedek Order: King was given to Judah, Priest was given to Levi, and Prophet was given to Joseph. Jacob's 12 sons became the 12 tribes of Israel, Gn 49.

All of Jacob's sons have testimonies in the Dead Sea Scrolls. They all acknowledge that Levi would be the Priests and in the days of Messiah they would reject Him. The all acknowledge that Judah would be the Kingly line of Messiah. Most were sorry about the way they treated Joseph with hatred and submitted to his forgiveness and leadership in Egypt. Ancient post flood history shows that Joseph was Imhotep that saved the world from famine during the days of Pharaoh Djoser. He also built the first pyramid at Saqqara Egypt.

Israel died in Egypt when he was 147 years old. Joseph who was 2nd power of Egypt took him to be buried with his fathers in Hebron with a very large mourning and Egyptian royal caravan.

Even though his very name was "supplanter" he did great things for God. As Paul writes "where sin did abound, Grace did more abound", Rom 5:20.

Times from Jacob to Jesus

As prophesied by the LORD, Israel stayed in Egypt 400 years and ended up in slavery to the Egyptians. Of the tribe of Levi, God sent Moses as a Prophet to deliver them as well as Aaron, his brother, who became the first High Priest, and Miriam his sister to be a Prophetess. At Mt. Sinai the law was given by God and written down by Moses in the Torah. The Tabernacle was built to symbolize the Messiah and all He represented. The Levites were the caretakers and Priests of the Tabernacle and all of the furnishings. The Aaronic Priesthood was established and continued.

The line of the Levites was passed down to Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist. John, a miracle child of Zechariah and Elizabeth (who was the aunt of Mary the mother of Jesus), was the leader of the school of the Prophets, from the Essene community. However, the line of Prophets were not all Levites. Their prophetic powers were by the Spirit of God and given to those who learned and studied under existing Prophets. John had both the Levite line and the Prophetic line as spoken by Malachi.

This Prophetic line was recorded in DSS from the time of Moses. It went down to a Levite teacher, Joseph and then to Caiaphas and Annas who were evil and not included in the list.  Joseph the teacher had no children and so it went back to Zechariah and John the Baptist.

The line for Kings was preserved in the Bible and shown in the genealogy of Jesus through Matthew’s record yet there was a curse on the last King Zedekiah, and so the genealogy of Mary, the seed of the woman, was recorded from David in Luke, passed on from Nathan, David’s son. Luke recorded the human side of Jesus showing his lineage clear back to Adam.

The true “scribes” were the Essene Zadok Priests who took their records and left Jerusalem around 200 BC and moved to Qumran by the Dead Sea. This move was when the Pharisees and Sadducees had so corrupted the prophetic teachings of the old ones that they had clouded who Messiah would be. They also corrupted the calendar and went lunar. The Essene Priests called the Pharisees the “Sons of Darkness” and themselves the “Sons of Light”.  Zadok and Abiathar were Priests at the time of David the King, 2 Sam 15:35. Zadok translates to “one who is proved righteous.” Zadok followed the anointing of the Spirit of God on David all of his life. Abiathar means “at peace with God.”

Jesus the eternal Melchizedek Priest, King, Prophet

The Essenes understood the Messianic Prophecies from the old ones and fully expected the Messiah to come and be born in Bethlehem (2 BC on Rosh Ha Shana, or Trumpets) and pay for our sins by dying on the cross (32 AD on Passover). Which came to pass. They believed He would come and receive His own before the Tribulation that would come at the end of the Age of Grace. After that would come the millennium reign of the Messiah (Jesus) on the earth, which would usher in the move of God’s headquarters to the earth in the New Jerusalem for all eternity.   All of this we as Born Again, Bible believing Christians believe. What is so cool is that the old ones believed the same thing. The ages were: 1. Adam to Abraham, Abraham to Jesus, Grace from Jesus resurrection to His return. This totals 6000 years from Adam. Then the last “day” would be the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ. After that was a New Heaven and New Earth, (refashioned in Holiness of God) for eternity.

They believed that the Old Testament (the same one we have today) was sealed as Sacred Canon.

The ancient Prophets also wrote that there would be a New Testament Canon that would be written after Messiah arrived. In the testament of Benjamin, he wrote that one of his descendents would write and explain the ancient prophecies and how they would all be fulfilled in Messiah. This was Paul who wrote half the books of the New Testament.

The Magi, who came from the School of the Prophets that was lead by Daniel since the days of Nebuchadnezzar (Circa 450 BC), knew that Messiah had been born, and went to worship Him. Jesus was born in Bethlehem of the virgin Mary. They learned about the star from the ancient teachings of Daniel and the Old Ones. Gn 49:9  Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? 10  The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

When the time came for Jesus to be revealed and to start His ministry, He came to John who was baptizing in the Jordan near Qumran. John called Jesus the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. John told Jesus that He should be baptizing him. Jesus said, Mt 3:15  And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

John being the head of the School of the Prophets had the authority to baptize Jesus into the Order of Melchizedek. This brought back the King, Priest, and Prophet into one man, who would be eternal and always hold that position. Hebrews 5-8

Ps 110:4  The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Ps 2:7 ¶  I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Jesus is the 10th and eternal Melchizedek Priest, King of the Universe, and Prophet of the Church, who is the Son of God.

Jesus proclaimed He was Messiah and that the Pharisees were corrupt.

Lk 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Isa 61)
20  And he closed the book, and he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21  And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Jn 10:34  Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? (Ps 82)
35  If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36  Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37  If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38  But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father [is] in me, and I in him.

The gods here is referring to the Aaronic Priesthood who were supposed to be presenting God to the people. Jesus shows the Pharisees that they are corrupt.

When Jesus died on the cross, His precious Blood went down the cross hole in the rock and ran 20 feet through a crevice that was formed by the earthquake, and dripped on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant which had been placed in Jeremiah’s grotto cave 600 years before, 2 Maccabees 2:2-8.

Jesus then ascended into Heaven and anointed the Heavenly Ark with His own blood.

Heb 9:12  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us13  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14  How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

The Messianic believers of old and the believers from the age of Grace are both tied to the Messiah by the Lord Jesus. This is portrayed in the Gospel of the stars in Pisces, the two fish held by the bands tied to Cetus but the leg of the Lamb Aries is across the bands. Pisces are the 2 Churches, one went North (OT resurrected) the other follows the elliptic (Jesus the son or NT Church of Grace) and will be taken and resurrected in the Rapture. Cetus is Satan, the God of this world, who has the bands of the Churches attached to him. Aries is Jesus, the Ram symbolized in Abraham’s sacrifice, who has his leg on the bands, for Satan has to go through Jesus to get to the true Church.

The OT and prior Old Ones that were believers and followers of Messiah were resurrected when Jesus was resurrected and went to Heaven with Him, after Jesus went to Paradise and preached to them for 3 days.

Eph 4:8  Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9  (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10  He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

1 Pet 3:18 ¶  For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19  By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20  Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Mt 24:50 ¶  Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51  And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52  And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53  And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Jesus will be back for His Church soon. The 6000 year mark is fast approaching when Jesus will set up His Kingdom on earth for a thousand years. After the millenium, Satan will be cast forever in the lake of fire and eternity starts with God's headquarters on earth in the New Jerusalem, Rev 20-21.

If  you do not know Jesus, who is God's Salvation, ask Him into your heart today. Just pray: Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and I call upon your Name to save me.
